Traxxas Slash 4X4 BL-2s

Stock is as the vehicle ships. Calculated is worked from the stock figures on this page rather than stored beside them, so the two cannot drift apart. The top speed is kinematic: an ideal no-load RPM with no slip and no loss under load, so a real car is slower.

Gearing parts

Tooth counts are the ones in the specifications above. Pitch is given as metric module (Mod 1, Mod 0.8) or diametral pitch (32P, 48P). They are different standards and are not interchangeable, even where the numbers look close. Bore is the pinion’s hole, listed separately from the motor shaft (3 mm on the stock motor). How these numbers were settled

The owner's manual gear chart (p. 25) marks a 13T pinion on the 54T spur, 11.84:1, as the out-of-box setup, with the formula spur divided by pinion times 2.85.

• The product page prints 'Gear Ratio (Internal): 11.82:1', the same total within rounding.
• The parts list sets the 13T pinion (3943X) and the 54T spur (3956) in regular type as supplied, and both part pages list this truck as a stock fitment.
• The ESC runs 6 to 7 NiMH cells or a 2S LiPo.
• The stock tire is Traxxas's SCT off-road racing tire (5871), which the parts list sizes at 4.3 x 1.7 in, so 109 mm.
• Traxxas gives no numeric top speed, only an 'Under 30 mph' class, which fits the roughly 26 mph no-load figure on 2S.
• The front differential is filled with SAE 30,000W oil and the rear with grease; the manual gives no factory shock oil.
