About

RCTuneLab.com

An independent reference for RC cars, trucks and their components. Find your model, check its specifications and manuals, look up parts and compare generations before choosing repairs or upgrades.

Who maintains the site

Dan Lee maintains RCTuneLab.com, an independent reference for RC owners checking a stock setup, comparing generations or researching a replacement part. The work brings together manufacturer manuals, product pages and parts lists, with links so you can check the evidence yourself.

Document research and calculations are identified separately from measured performance and physical fitment. The site does not claim hands-on testing of every vehicle or part.

Vehicle catalog and model history

Browse the vehicle catalog by brand or class for model specifications, equipment, documents and background. Compare generations and component listings to understand what changed. Coverage varies by model; missing specifications remain visible as gaps.

Figures come from manufacturer pages and manuals first, then official distributors. Each sheet lists its sources and is graded: verified when a second source or an arithmetic consistency check supports the published figures, sourced when the maker published them and nothing independent confirms them, and community when a figure had to come from somewhere else, such as a parts listing or a forum measurement. A calculation can confirm that published figures agree mathematically; it cannot independently verify the inputs, physical fitment or measured performance. Consult the sheet’s sources to see what supports each figure. A figure nobody publishes is marked as not published rather than guessed.

RCTuneLab.com is independent and not affiliated with any manufacturer, distributor or retailer.

Parts, manuals and upgrades

The parts reference connects part numbers and packages with vehicle listings, hardware specifications and replacement references where available. Scan a supported package barcode or search its printed part number. A listing on a vehicle page does not establish physical fitment for every edition.

Vehicle pages link to available owner’s manuals, exploded views and parts lists. Upgrade and setup references explain the relevant configuration, supporting components and known limits. Check the model and edition before ordering or following a procedure.

Use the equipment reference for motors, speed controllers, servos and radios, or read the reference guides and model comparisons for a closer look at setup and component differences.

Calculators

Each calculator shows what its answer was worked out from, so you can see which input moved it. Pick a vehicle from the header and the gearing, tire and motor fill in across every calculator; change one part and compare. The numbers are theoretical, with no drag, load or voltage sag, so treat them as a way to compare setups rather than a promise of what the car will do. The methodology page gives every formula.

Your garage

Saved setups, recorded passes and pinned tools live in your browser, not on a server. That keeps them private, but it also means clearing browser data clears them, and they don’t follow you to another device. Export a copy from My Garage to keep one.
