Tooth counts are the ones in the specifications above. Pitch is given as metric module (Mod 1, Mod 0.8) or diametral pitch (32P, 48P). They are different standards and are not interchangeable, even where the numbers look close. Bore is the pinion’s hole, listed separately from the motor shaft. Linked part numbers go to the maker's or official distributor's page for that part.
How these numbers were settled
The Traxxas spec table prints 'Gear Ratio (Internal): 2.5:1' and, on the transmission row, '10-T pinion / 60-T spur', but the parts list sets the 9-T pinion (7644) and the 61-tooth spur (7641) in regular type as supplied, and both part pages list the Desert Prerunner as a stock fitment, with the 10T and 60T gears as accessories.
- The stock gearing is used, so the total is 61 / 9 x 2.5 = 16.94.
- The motor is a brushed 370 on a 6-cell 7.2 V NiMH pack, so there is no KV rating and no no-load speed can be worked out.
- The ESC's own spec lists 5 to 6 NiMH cells and gives no LiPo cell rating, so the cell limit is left blank.
- Traxxas publishes no size for the stock SCT off-road racing tire (7071), so the tire diameter is left blank.
- The parts list calls the motor a 28-turn 370 while its part page says 23-turn.
