Vanquish Products VS4-10 Phoenix Portal RTR

How these numbers were settled

Vanquish publishes '5.25:1 Axle Gear Ratio, 15T Pinion, 52T Spur Gear, Overall Front Ratio (Standard 6.5% OD): 53.7:1, Overall Rear Ratio: 57.2:1', plus a selectable High 46% overdrive that takes the front to 35.8:1.

• The rear 57.2 is used because the VFD Twin's overdrive selector does not change it; the front is 53.7 in the standard position and 35.8 in high overdrive, so it has no single value.
• The 16.5 ratio after the spur is the rear reduction, 57.2 x 15 / 52 = 16.50, and (52/15) x 16.5 = 57.20 exactly.
• Tires are the included 1.9 Falken Wildpeak M/T in 4.65 in, i.e. 118mm outside diameter, published as '4.65" X 1.9" TIRES'.
• The RTR ships with a Vanquish motor and VE-1 3S ESC, but Vanquish publishes no KV for it, so KV and cell count are left blank rather than guessed, and no speed check is possible.
• Portal axles.
• Vanquish prints '1.4:1 Portal Gear Ratio' and '20T/28T Portal Gear' (28/20 = 1.4).
• Its '5.25:1 Axle Gear Ratio' is the axle including the portal, not the ring and pinion, which is 30/8 = 3.75.
