Tamiya's TT-02BR Chassis Kit is a 1/10 four-wheel-drive, shaft-driven buggy kit, the race version of the TT-02B, sold without tires or motor.

It comes geared with a 17T pinion on the 70T spur, and the 2.60:1 gearbox and axle stage gives a 10.71:1 final drive on a 258 mm wheelbase. Tires are your choice, so measure the ones you fit and enter that size in the gearing tool.

Pinion The small gear on the motor shaft. Fewer teeth gear the car shorter: quicker acceleration, lower top speed and a cooler motor. More teeth do the opposite. On this car one tooth changes the gearing by about 5.9%. Racers change the pinion to suit the track and the class's motor rules, and often compare setups by rollout rather than tooth count.
