How these numbers were settled
Uprated TT-02 chassis kit.
- Tamiya includes a brushed Torque-Tuned motor and 24/64mm tires but no ESC, radio, battery or body; the motor has no KV rating because it is brushed.
- The published 'Gear Ratio: 8.27:1 (10 further ratios from 11.38:1 to 7.28:1 possible with use of separately-sold pinion)' is the complete motor-to-wheel ratio.
- The pinion is derived: with the kit-standard 70T spur and the 2.6 ratio after the spur that Tamiya's own Type-SRX figures force (6.55:1 on 27T/68T), the kit pinion is 22T, and (70/22) x 2.6 = 8.273.
