The maker advertises 30 mph, which is their own claim on their own conditions.

Traxxas's product page (traxxas.com/36354-4-stampede-2wd-bl-2s) prints 'Gear Ratio (Internal): 2.72 (final drive: 12.34)', a 'BL-2s 3300Kv' motor, NiMH 7-cell / LiPo 2-cell max, a 270mm wheelbase and '30+ mph with 7-cell battery'.
- The 2.72 / 12.34 pairing matches the documented 'Magnum 272' transmission shared across Traxxas's Bandit, Rustler and Stampede 2WD platform (the '272' encodes the 2.72 constant), so both ratio figures are considered reliable without tooth counts.
- No manufacturer page gives the pinion or spur, so both are left blank and the tooth-count check could not be run.
- The two ratios are stated directly by the manufacturer, not derived, so they are rated sourced.
- The tire diameter is not from Traxxas, which lists the stock Talon tires (3668/3669) only by their 2.8in wheel size; 117mm (4.6in) comes from dealer spec listings for the Talon 2.8 tire and should be read as approximate.
- One conflict is left standing: Traxxas's parts list for 36354-4 sets every pinion and spur in bold (optional) except a 21T pinion and a 90T spur, which would make the stock final drive 90/21 x 2.72 = 11.66, a cell in the manual's own gear chart.
- The product page's 12.34 is not in that chart.
- The printed 12.34 is kept because it is the figure Traxxas states for this model, and the tooth counts are left blank rather than recorded against a total they do not multiply out to.
