Tooth counts are the ones in the specifications above. Pitch is given as metric module (Mod 1, Mod 0.8) or diametral pitch (32P, 48P). They are different standards and are not interchangeable, even where the numbers look close. Bore is the pinion’s hole, listed separately from the motor shaft (5 mm on the stock motor). Linked part numbers go to the maker's or official distributor's page for that part.
How these numbers were settled
The product page prints 'Gear Ratio (Internal): 9.52:1', which is the complete final drive.
- The parts list sets the 16-T pinion (5652) and the 56-tooth spur (9456) in regular type as supplied, and the owner's manual gear chart marks 16/56 as the out-of-box setup.
- The manual's formula is spur / pinion x 2.72, so 56/16 x 2.72 = 9.52; the chart cell reads 9.54.
- The product page quotes 50+ mph on 3S with no gearing change.
- Traxxas does not publish the diameter of the stock Talon MXT tires, so the tire size is left blank.
- The parts list calls both gears 0.8 metric pitch and compatible with 32-pitch, so no pitch is shown.
