Background
Top-Force (2017) revisits the buggy Tamiya introduced in 1991 as its hundredth radio-controlled model. The low wedge body, large rear wing and protective undercowl preserve that design's race-oriented appearance. Its 2 mm FRP double-deck frame and adjustable suspension set it apart from the molded-tub Manta Ray that preceded the Top-Force family. Factory model information (opens in a new tab). The shaft-driven transmission includes front and rear ball differentials, a stainless propeller shaft and front universal drive shafts. CVA oil dampers and selectable suspension mounting positions give the builder useful setup choices without changing the chassis. This is the standard FRP Top-Force, rather than the carbon-deck Evolution with its additional one-way mechanism and aluminum dampers. Factory model information (opens in a new tab). Assembly manual (opens in a new tab).
This edition uses square-spike tires, with a standard 21T pinion and 8.59:1 final drive. In a documented 47350 build, the owner fitted an 18T pinion with a 19-turn brushed motor and described stable running and level jumps. That is one modified build, not a stock performance test or a power recommendation for every Top-Force. Builder account (opens in a new tab). Factory model information (opens in a new tab). Assembly manual (opens in a new tab).
The factory setup pages are the useful starting point: establish the standard toe, camber and damper assembly, then change one aspect for the surface. Check the undercowl and wing after rough running, and keep the actual tire specification with the kit number when comparing it with an original or a 58362 reissue. How to read these figures
- Stock is as the vehicle ships.
- Calculated is worked from the stock figures on this page rather than stored beside them, so the two cannot drift apart.
- Not applicable means the vehicle does not come with it, like the motor on a roller or the tires on a race kit.
- Not published means it exists but no source we could find prints it.

Upgrades and setup
Start Top-Force 47350 with the factory ball differentials, front universal shafts and standard CVA dampers. Check the bearing locations before choosing a conversion: this FRP kit does not inherit the Evolution's carbon chassis and full-bearing specification. A bearing conversion and a complete new chassis are separate decisions.[1] Exact numbered factory assembly manual (opens in a new tab)[2] Factory design history and exact reissue context (opens in a new tab)
The setup section connects tires, toe, camber and damping. Establish the standard geometry first and use small changes on the same surface. Balance the front and rear dampers rather than increasing every spring or oil grade together; the factory #400 oil gives a repeatable starting point.[1] Exact numbered factory assembly manual (opens in a new tab)[2] Factory design history and exact reissue context (opens in a new tab)

The normal 21T pinion gives an 8.59:1 final drive. The numbered mounting holes must match the pinion fitted. In a readable 47350 build, one owner chose an 18T pinion with a 19-turn brushed motor, reporting stable running and level jumps; that modified example does not establish the stock car's performance or a universal motor limit.[1] Exact numbered factory assembly manual (opens in a new tab)[2] Factory design history and exact reissue context (opens in a new tab)[3] Eric Albrecht Top Force 47350 completed build (opens in a new tab)
Retain the exact kit number when selecting tires, undercowl and wing replacements. A later production run can retain 47350, while the separate 58362 and original 58100 documents describe their own equipment. Do not turn that lineage into an unsupported claim that the complete assemblies interchange.[1] Exact numbered factory assembly manual (opens in a new tab)[2] Factory design history and exact reissue context (opens in a new tab)
