Specs

HPI Racing's Jumpshot MT Fuzion is a two-wheel-drive 1/10 monster truck, sold ready to run with a 2700 KV brushless motor and speed control built into one unit.

The 22T pinion and 90T spur, with a 2.72:1 reduction after the spur, give an 11.13:1 final drive. The truck weighs 1.85 kg, measures 420 mm long on a 270 mm wheelbase and rolls on 120 mm tires with 12 mm hexes. The unit takes up to a 2S LiPo pack, so keep to that limit. Because the motor and speed control are one piece, a failure means replacing the whole unit.

How to read these figures
  • Stock is as the vehicle ships.
  • Calculated is worked from the stock figures on this page rather than stored beside them, so the two cannot drift apart.
  • Derived is worked out from gear tooth counts the maker publishes rather than printed as a ratio; the notes below say how.
  • Not published means it exists but no source we could find prints it.
  • The top speed is kinematic: an ideal no-load RPM with no slip and no loss under load, so a real car is slower.

About teeth, pitch and bore
  • Tooth counts are the ones in the specifications above.
  • Pitch is given as metric module (Mod 1, Mod 0.8) or diametral pitch (32P, 48P). They are different standards and are not interchangeable, even where the numbers look close.
  • Bore is the pinion’s hole, listed separately from the motor shaft.

How these numbers were settled

HPI's standard parts list for the Jumpshot MT Fuzion names a 22T pinion (6922), a 90T spur (115316), the Fuzion 2:1 brushless motor and ESC unit (116195) and the Jump T2.8M tire (115315).

  • The kit page and the part page both give the motor as 2700KV.
  • HPI's gearing chart in the Jumpshot ST manual prints 11.127 for the 22T pinion with the same 90T spur, so that total is used here, and the ratio after the spur, 2.72, is worked out from it.
  • The Fuzion kit has no gearing chart of its own.
  • The tire comes from HPI's part page for the Jump T2.8M tire (115315), which prints OD:120mm.
  • The kit page says the speed control takes up to 2S LiPo or a 7-cell NiMH pack.
  • The kit page gives the length, width, height, wheelbase and a weight of 1.85 kg.
  • HPI's own kit page shows the number 116120 in its text while its web address and parts list use 116210; the web address is used here.
