Background
The Outlaw Renegade develops the Outlaw Rampage PRO 2.0 concept as a partially assembled two-wheel-drive truck. Its suspension track is wider, with revised rear upper-link placement and a different body package. The owner installs the radio, servo, motor and speed control, then finishes the clear body. Setup spacers, shock pistons, stabilizer bars and fluids accompany the chassis, allowing the build to be configured for its intended surface and driving style.1 (opens in a new tab)

The Outlaw Renegade supplies a partly assembled truck-style build rather than a complete Readyset power package. Its nostalgic body presentation should be considered alongside the kit's remaining electronics and finishing work. Select those completion items from the exact instructions before wiring, and identify this package separately from the Outlaw Rampage PRO when ordering body or drivetrain components. How to read these figures
- Stock is as the vehicle ships.
- Calculated is worked from the stock figures on this page rather than stored beside them, so the two cannot drift apart.
- Not applicable means the vehicle does not come with it, like the motor on a roller or the tires on a race kit.
- Not published means it exists but no source we could find prints it.

Upgrades and setup
The Renegade is a partially assembled kit, so the useful first purchases are the electronics and battery needed to finish it. It already has full bearings, aluminum oil dampers and the V2 internal gears. A radio, servo, 540-size motor and matching ESC are still required. Plan the wiring on the revised tray before painting and fitting the body; RC-TNT found the related Pro 2.0 tray easier to work with than the original.[1] Kyosho Outlaw Renegade 34364 (opens in a new tab)[2] RC-TNT Rampage PRO2.0 hands-on review (opens in a new tab)
Do not start with an old Rampage spur-fix shopping list. Kyosho has revised the internal gear materials and shape, and RC-TNT’s Pro 2.0 comparison confirms visibly different gears without claiming proven long-term life. Build the supplied drivetrain, set the mesh correctly, and investigate a persistent noise before replacing it. The spur remains 48 pitch while the counter and differential gears use 32 pitch, so matching only a tooth count is not enough.[1] Kyosho Outlaw Renegade 34364 (opens in a new tab)[2] RC-TNT Rampage PRO2.0 hands-on review (opens in a new tab)

The wider hubs and matching shafts, together with shorter rear upper links, are specific Renegade changes. Kyosho intends them to improve high-grip stability; that is a manufacturer claim, not a finished owner durability result. Older PRO tests still provide a useful warning about high-grip tires and aggressive brushless power on a scale truck. Keep the initial power choice modest and learn the supplied suspension before trying to make it behave like a race short-course truck.[1] Kyosho Outlaw Renegade 34364 (opens in a new tab)[3] Older PRO handling review (opens in a new tab)
There is useful tuning hardware in the kit already, including stabilizer choices, pistons and a spare plastic front skid. Use those choices before buying another suspension package, and recheck tire clearance whenever wheel width, offset or sway-bar position changes. Extra spare tires on the rear also change the weight distribution. Lighting is a clearer cosmetic upgrade: Kyosho explicitly lists 97054-2H and 97054-4H LED units. New Renegade owner builds still need follow-up before recommending a wider aftermarket conversion.[1] Kyosho Outlaw Renegade 34364 (opens in a new tab)
