Tooth counts are the ones in the specifications above. Pitch is given as metric module (Mod 1, Mod 0.8) or diametral pitch (32P, 48P). They are different standards and are not interchangeable, even where the numbers look close. Bore is the pinion’s hole, listed separately from the motor shaft (3.175 mm on the stock motor). Linked part numbers go to the maker's or official distributor's page for that part.
How these numbers were settled
The earlier brushed Torment sold with a 2S LiPo pack; its manual also covers the plain Torment (ECX03333) and the Ruckus 2WD LiPo (ECX03331).
- Horizon's spec table prints a 19T pinion, an 87T spur and a 4.3in (109.2mm) outer tire diameter.
- The transmission and diff ratio of 2.6 is the figure Horizon prints for this family of ECX 1/10 2WD trucks (the Ruckus and Torment 2WD Brushless pages and the AMP MT kit page, where 18T on 87T is printed as a 12.6 total); this truck's manual lists the same ECX1022 transmission gear set, which Horizon sells as the gear set for all ECX 1/10 2WD models.
- The total is worked out as 87/19 x 2.6 = 11.91.
- This version's WP 60A ESC is rated in the manual for 2S LiPo with motors of 12T to 34T and 3S only with 35T and milder motors, so with the stock 15T motor the ceiling is 2S.
- The motor is brushed and has no KV rating.
