What it stands for

Redcat says it was founded "with the ambition of bringing people together and enhancing lives through our products."1 It describes its aim as "helping vehicle enthusiasts and communities create memorable experiences by delivering fun, creative RC cars," and says it takes pride "in making our product better and growing our customer community."8

Known for

Its crawlers are what it is noted for: the Everest Gen7 drew wide notice among crawler drivers, and the Ascent-18 made a mark in the micro crawler class.9,10 Aftermarket makers build parts for its trucks, such as Club 5 Racing's roof rack and rock sliders for the Gen8.11,12

Product portfolio

Crawlers make up the largest share of the range, from the 1/18 Ascent-18 micro crawlers and the 1/16 Everest-16 through the 1/10 Ascent, Everest, Gen8, Gen9 and Vertex-10 lines to the 1/6 Vertex-6. Monster trucks come next, from the 1/10 Volcano EPX and Blackout XTE through the 1/8 Kaiju to the 1/5 Vigilante 8S and the gas-powered Rampage MT V3. The Lightning STK touring car, the Lightning EPX Drift and the Valkyrie TR truggy round it out. Nearly all of it comes ready to run, in brushed and brushless versions, and builders get the Gen8 PACK pre-assembled chassis kit and the Wendigo Builder's Kit. Redcat's vehicle menu also lists lowriders and buggies.2

  4. 2024The Ascent Fusion LCG joins the Ascent crawler line.5
