Vanquish Products VRD Carbon Kit

Stock is as the vehicle ships. Calculated is worked from the stock figures on this page rather than stored beside them, so the two cannot drift apart. Not applicable means the vehicle does not come with it, like the motor on a roller or the tires on a race kit, or does not have one, like a KV rating on a brushed motor.

Gearing parts

Tooth counts are the ones in the specifications above. Pitch is given as metric module (Mod 1, Mod 0.8) or diametral pitch (32P, 48P). They are different standards and are not interchangeable, even where the numbers look close. Bore is the pinion’s hole, listed separately from the motor shaft. Linked part numbers go to the maker's or official distributor's page for that part.

How these numbers were settled

Vanquish's product page prints 'Pinion 13T 32P, Spur 56T 32P' but also 'Overall Front Ratio 46.5:1, Overall Rear Ratio 68:1', and those totals belong to a 15T pinion on a 52T spur.

• The VRD Carbon manual shows 15T/52T in three places: the transmission step fits a 15T pinion (IRC00263) and a 52T spur, the spare parts list names '15T 32P Pinion' and '52T 32P Spur Gear', and the gear ratio chart shades 15T x 52T at 68.2 rear and 46.5 front, printing 'Rear Ratio without spur/pinion 19.66:1'.
• The manual's gearing is used, with the page's 68:1 as the rear total (52/15 x 19.66 = 68.2).
• Front and rear differ: the lightweight VFD's transfer case has a built-in overdrive, so the rear total is used and the front is 46.5:1.
• The manual names the spur IRC00410 in the build step and IRC00403 in the parts list, so no spur part is given.
• Wheels, tires, body and electronics are not included (1.9 x 4.75 in tires recommended), so tire size, KV and cell count do not apply.
