Redcat Racing Vertex-10W

How these numbers were settled

The 2.2in-wheel, longer-wheelbase (330mm) sibling of the Vertex-10, geared more aggressively: Redcat publishes 9:1 front axle, 12.375:1 rear axle, 3:1 portals and 32 percent total overdrive.

• As with the Vertex-10 the two ends are permanently different, so the ratio after the spur and the final drive do not apply, rather than being unknown; unlike the Vertex-10, Redcat does not print the resulting front and rear totals, so none are quoted.
• Spur and pinion tooth counts are not published.
• Same power system as the Vertex-10: Hobbywing 2812 1700kv outrunner, WP-10BL60-Crawler ESC, 2-4S.
• The tire is Redcat's published 5.25in = 133.35mm.
• The manual's gearing table marks 14T as the stock pinion, driving the 40T half of the 40T/18T transmission gear set (RER43550) shown in the exploded view.
