Tooth counts are the ones in the specifications above. Pitch is given as metric module (Mod 1, Mod 0.8) or diametral pitch (32P, 48P). They are different standards and are not interchangeable, even where the numbers look close. Bore is the pinion’s hole, listed separately from the motor shaft.
How these numbers were settled
Same driveline as the Ascent-18 Brushless.
- The manual's spare-parts page lists RER39670 'Low Range Transmission Gears 20.52:1' (11T pinion, 38T/16T drive gear, 39T/16T idler, 39T output), the 10T diff pinion and 20T ring gears, and the 14T and 23T portal gears, and Redcat's parts pages list each of them as fitting the Ascent 18 Scout II Brushless.
- The 11T pinion drives the 38T gear, so the ratio after the spur is 39/16 x 39/16 x 20/10 x 23/14 = 19.52 and the total is 38/11 x 19.52 = 67.44, which matches Redcat's printed 20.52:1 transmission times the 2.0 axle and 1.64 portal stages.
- The tire diameter is left blank: the Interco Super Swamper tires (RER37867, RER39775) have no published size, and the '25mm' on the product page is the wheel, not the tire.
- Motor is the FS-MD1212 3450KV outrunner; the built-in ESC is rated for 2S LiPo only.
- RER39152 and RER39153 are colour versions.
