Redcat Racing Ascent

Stock is as the vehicle ships. Calculated is worked from the stock figures on this page rather than stored beside them, so the two cannot drift apart. Not applicable means the vehicle does not come with it, like the motor on a roller or the tires on a race kit, or does not have one, like a KV rating on a brushed motor. Not published means it exists but no source we could find prints it.

How these numbers were settled

The 1/10 Ascent (Redcat's own page still calls it 'Everest Ascent').

• Unlike the Gen8, Redcat publishes no gear ratio or ratio range for this platform, so the ratio after the spur cannot be solved and the pinion, the transmission and axle ratio and the final drive are all left blank.
• The spur is solid: Redcat's parts page for RER22145 lists a 56T 32P spur fitting 'ASCENT FUSION, EVEREST ASCENT', and AMain/Eds RC carry the same part under the same description.
• The 12T pinion RER22344 is listed for the same two vehicles, but Redcat never says it is the stock fitment, so it is not used.
• The motor is a 42T RC550 brushed can, so there is no KV.
• The cell count is a conflict: Redcat's spec line reads '2S-3S LIPO or 5-9 Cell NIMH', while BRS Hobbies describes the same ESC as '2S LiPo Ready'; the manufacturer's figure is used.
• The tire diameter is Redcat's 'Wheel Diameter - 118mm' line, which on Redcat spec tables is the tire outer diameter (same convention as the 115mm quoted for the Gen8's 1.9in Super Swampers).
