Background
The Toyota GR Yaris brings its own body and wheel package to Kyosho's fourth-generation brushed MINI-Z RWD chassis. The Readyset combines the finished shell, 130-class brushed motor and Syncro KT-531P transmitter, providing a complete starting point before AAA batteries are added. The MR-04 retains the familiar rear motor-pod layout while revising the steering geometry and lowering the battery position compared with the MR-03. 1 (opens in a new tab)

This version uses the MR-04N-HM configuration with a 90mm wheelbase. Its front wheels are Narrow +1.5mm and its rear wheels are Wide -1.0mm; those dimensions matter when buying a replacement body or changing track width. The front suspension and rear T-bar work as a system with the wheels, tires and motor pod, so a body change can require more than another set of wheels. 1 (opens in a new tab)
The brushed RWD electronics and gear differential distinguish it from an MR-04EVO2 competition chassis. Begin by setting straight-line trim and steering travel, then learn the car in Training Mode before adding speed. The manual gives different pinion-guide or spacer arrangements for MM, MM2, RM, HM and LM motor cases; follow the drawing for the actual rear assembly. 2 (opens in a new tab)

- Stock is as the vehicle ships.
- Calculated is worked from the stock figures on this page rather than stored beside them, so the two cannot drift apart.
- Not published means it exists but no source we could find prints it.
Build and setup
Factory setup guide for this configuration.
Set steering trim on a smooth surface, then reduce steering dual rate if the car feels abrupt on a tight indoor layout. Check throttle neutral with the wheels raised. Training Mode gives a useful starting point while learning the layout; use the KT-531P sequence in the factory manual before changing the motor or gearing.[1] MR-04 RWD T03 factory instructions (opens in a new tab)
Use the pinion guides or motor spacers shown for the HM rear assembly. A larger pinion trades acceleration and runtime for a taller gearing choice, so keep the original gear and change one step at a time. Body swaps also need the matching front mount, front width and wheel offsets; the manual's narrow/wide conversion changes the lower arm, tie rod and upper arm holder together.[1] MR-04 RWD T03 factory instructions (opens in a new tab)[2] Exact chassis or Readyset package (opens in a new tab)
