Kyosho Fazer Mk2 FZ02 Readyset

Gearing parts

Tooth counts are the ones in the specifications above. Pitch is given as metric module (Mod 1, Mod 0.8) or diametral pitch (32P, 48P). They are different standards and are not interchangeable, even where the numbers look close. Bore is the pinion’s hole, listed separately from the motor shaft. How these numbers were settled

The ready-to-run FZ02 on the 260mm wheelbase, with the brushed G14L motor and KA060-91W 60A ESC fitted.

• Kyosho's Technical Data for 34418T1C gives 'Gear Ratio 6.54:1' and 'Tires (F/R) F:φ64×27.7mm'.
• The product page names the standard gears as a 68T spur and 32T pinion, with 29T to 37T pinions usable; the spare parts list names FA555-32 'TC Pinion Gear 32T FZ02' and FA556-68 'TC Spur Gear 68T FZ02'.
• The ratio after the spur works out at 6.54 x 32 / 68 = 3.08.
• Tire size depends on the body: some FZ02 readysets (34423 Alpine GT4, for one) list φ66×25mm tires and '6.5:1', so check the Technical Data for your body.
• The G14L is a 550-size 14-turn brushed motor, so there is no KV rating.
• The manual's battery page lists a 2S (7.4V) LiPo or a 7.2V NiMH pack.
