How these numbers were settled
From Team Associated/Element RC's own manual for the Ecto Portal RTR (ASC40130): pinion 18T (part #1336), spur 87T 48P (part #9654), portal axle ring gear 30T and pinion 8T (a 3.75:1 diff), and portal reduction gears '15T or 20T options' (part #42372).
- The 1.33 portal reduction is computed as 20/15 from those tooth counts; the manual does not say which orientation is stock, so this is a best reading, not a stated ratio.
- The transmission and axle ratio is diff (3.75) x portal (1.33) = 5.0, and the final drive is (spur/pinion = 4.83) x 5.0 = 24.17, roughly 33% higher than the non-portal Ecto's implied 18.1:1 (same 18T/87T mesh and 30T/8T diff, no portal stage).
- The tire is the same 'Licensed 1.9x4.65 General Grabber X3' used across the non-portal Enduro line; the 4.65 is read as the outer diameter (118mm), by analogy with how Losi and Maxxis print width x diameter, but Associated's manual does not label it that way, so some uncertainty remains.
- The stock Reedy Crawler 14-turn 5-slot brushed motor has no published KV, so KV does not apply.
- The 2S-3S cell count is carried over from the non-portal Sendero and Trailwalker manuals, which state '2S-3S LiPo compatible'; the available Ecto Portal manual excerpt does not restate it, so this figure is not confirmed for this exact SKU.
