Stock is as the vehicle ships. Calculated is worked from the stock figures on this page rather than stored beside them, so the two cannot drift apart. The top speed is kinematic: an ideal no-load RPM with no slip and no loss under load, so a real car is slower. The maker advertises 70 mph, which is their own claim on their own conditions.
How these numbers were settled
A distinct factory SKU (ARA8406), a race-tuned build of the 1/8 Typhon 6S sold alongside the BLX cars.
- Horizon publishes the Spektrum Firma 4074 2050Kv motor, the Firma 150A Smart ESC on 6S and a 70+ mph claim.
- Horizon's standard-parts list for ARA8406 names every gear: a single 16T HD Mod1 pinion, a 50T centre diff set, and straight-cut diffs with a 13T input against a 43T ring, 43/13 = 3.308.
- That corrects an earlier 4.3 carried over from the Kraton and Talion, whose spiral 43/10 diffs this car does not use.
- The TLR Tuned Typhon roller manual (ARA8306, p.14) prints a gear chart built on the same drivetrain; its 16T on 50T cell reads 10.3, and 50/16 x 43/13 = 10.34.
- No optional speed pinion was found in the box.
- The tire is the dBoots Exabyte (ARA550098), stock per the parts list; its 118mm outer diameter comes from a dealer's spec listing, not from Arrma.
