Stock is as the vehicle ships. Calculated is worked from the stock figures on this page rather than stored beside them, so the two cannot drift apart. Not published means it exists but no source we could find prints it.

Gearing parts

Tooth counts are the ones in the specifications above. Pitch is given as metric module (Mod 1, Mod 0.8) or diametral pitch (32P, 48P). They are different standards and are not interchangeable, even where the numbers look close. Bore is the pinion’s hole, listed separately from the motor shaft (5 mm on the stock motor). Linked part numbers go to the maker's or official distributor's page for that part.

How these numbers were settled

The owner's manual gear chart (p. 25) marks an 18T pinion on the 54T spur as the out-of-box setup at 8.18:1, and gives the formula spur / pinion x 2.72.

• The parts list sets the 18T pinion (5644) and the 54T spur (9454) in regular type as supplied, and the pinion's part page lists this truck as a stock fitment.
• The product page prints '2.72 (final drive: 10.17)'; 2.72 is the transmission ratio, but 10.17 does not match the stock gears, so the chart's 8.18 is shown here.
• Traxxas describes the pinion and spur as '0.8 metric pitch, compatible with 32-pitch' in the parts list and as 32-pitch on the part pages, so the pitch is left blank.
• Traxxas does not publish a tire diameter for the stock RXT wheels with Sledgehammer ST rear tires (3797-BLK), so it is left blank.
• The 60 mph claim is for a 3S LiPo with the stock gearing ('no gearing change required'); 40+ mph is quoted for 2S.
• The rear differential is a planetary gear type and the manual gives no fluid for it.
