Background
Fighting Buggy (2014) revives Tamiya's 1982 rear-wheel-drive off-road design, also known as the Super Champ in some markets. The model is recognizable for its FRP double-deck chassis, scale body and unusual rear suspension, with a transverse damper serving the swing-axle assembly. Model details (opens in a new tab).

The revised kit has front double trailing arms, aluminum oil dampers and full ball bearings. Its gearbox has no differential and can be built with either of two published reductions. This mechanical layout is central to the model's character; it is not a conventional modern two-wheel-drive race buggy wearing period bodywork. Model details (opens in a new tab).
A 540 motor is included, while the electronic speed controller is chosen separately. Preserve the instructions' spring and linkage arrangement when servicing the rear suspension, and use the exact gear pairing when changing ratios. The 2014 kit is a revised recreation, so original 1982 parts require their own dimensional and edition checks. Model details (opens in a new tab).

How to read these figures
- Stock is as the vehicle ships.
- Calculated is worked from the stock figures on this page rather than stored beside them, so the two cannot drift apart.
- Not applicable means the vehicle does not come with it, like the motor on a roller or the tires on a race kit.
- Not published means it exists but no source we could find prints it.
