Redcat Racing Gen8 International Scout II AXE Edition

Stock is as the vehicle ships. Calculated is worked from the stock figures on this page rather than stored beside them, so the two cannot drift apart. The top speed is kinematic: an ideal no-load RPM with no slip and no loss under load, so a real car is slower.

How these numbers were settled

Brushless AXE edition of the Gen8 Scout II: Hobbywing 540 2300kv AXE motor and AXE Bluetooth waterproof ESC in place of the 17T brushed can and 40A brushed ESC.

• Same Gen8 transmission, transfer case and portal axles, so the 14.37 ratio after the spur, back-solved from Redcat's published 28.12-71.85 range on the 45T spur, carries over.
• Redcat's own AXE-edition manual (p.77) lists a 17T brass pinion (11177) on the 45T spur (RER11358), the same pinion as the brushed Gen8, so the final drive works out to 45/17 x 14.37 = 38.04.
• Cell count 3 is from HobbyTown's battery requirement line, '7.2V-11.1V NiMh or LiPo'.
• Redcat's product page for this edition is gone, so everything here is second-hand from HobbyTown plus the shared-platform figures; graded sourced, not verified.
