Tooth counts are the ones in the specifications above. Pitch is given as metric module (Mod 1, Mod 0.8) or diametral pitch (32P, 48P). They are different standards and are not interchangeable, even where the numbers look close. Bore is the pinion’s hole, listed separately from the motor shaft.
How these numbers were settled
Redcat's Everest-16 manual is a single parts and exploded-view sheet, and its specification table prints 'Gear Ratio 1:88', 'Diameter of Wheel 95mm' and 'Width of Wheel 34mm'.
- The 88:1 is taken as the complete reduction: the table gives no other ratio, and 88:1 on a 260-size motor gives a crawler's walking pace, where 88 before the axles would not.
- The 95mm can only be the tire, since a 1/16 wheel rim is far smaller.
- The same sheet lists the pinion as '68054 - Motor Gear (14T)' and the axle main gear as 38T (68009), but the transmission ships as a complete gearbox (68025) with no tooth counts, so the spur and the ratio after it are left blank.
- The motor is an RC260 brushed can, so no KV.
- The 25A brushed ESC ships with a 7.2V NiMH pack and no LiPo rating is published, so the cell count is left blank.
- The sheet's dimensions (305mm long, 170mm wide, 135mm high) match the retail listing, which gives the wheelbase as 225mm where the sheet says 215mm.
