Maverick Quantum2 XT

Stock is as the vehicle ships. Calculated is worked from the stock figures on this page rather than stored beside them, so the two cannot drift apart. Derived is worked out from gear tooth counts the maker publishes rather than printed as a ratio; the notes below say how. Not applicable means the vehicle does not come with it, like the motor on a roller or the tires on a race kit, or does not have one, like a KV rating on a brushed motor. Not published means it exists but no source we could find prints it.

Gearing parts

Tooth counts are the ones in the specifications above. Pitch is given as metric module (Mod 1, Mod 0.8) or diametral pitch (32P, 48P). They are different standards and are not interchangeable, even where the numbers look close. Bore is the pinion’s hole, listed separately from the motor shaft. Linked part numbers go to the maker's or official distributor's page for that part.

How these numbers were settled

The stadium truck version of the Quantum2 MT.

• The kit page lists an MM-550 12T motor 'with 12T Pinion' and a '51T 32DP Spur Gear'.
• The quick start guide's parts list names the 43T/12T M1.25 differential bevel gear set and no other gears between the spur and the diffs (only the 18T/10T spider gears inside them), so the after-spur ratio is worked out as 43/12 = 3.58; that the spur drives the diffs through the centre shaft alone is read from the parts list, as no gearing diagram is printed.
• The total is 51/12 x 3.58 = 15.23.
• The stock tire is the Tredz MixBlok, listed as 122x68mm (2.8in) in the quick start guide's parts list and on the Linebacker part page's related items.
• The 60A ESC is rated for 6 cell NiMH or 2S LiPo; the kit page says it will take 3S but advises against 3S with the brushed motor, so 2S is stored.
• The motor is brushed and has no KV rating.
