Kyosho Nitro Tracker Readyset

Stock is as the vehicle ships. Calculated is worked from the stock figures on this page rather than stored beside them, so the two cannot drift apart. Derived is worked out from gear tooth counts the maker publishes rather than printed as a ratio; the notes below say how. Not applicable means the vehicle does not come with it, like the motor on a roller or the tires on a race kit, or does not have one, like a KV rating on a brushed motor.

Gearing parts

Tooth counts are the ones in the specifications above. Pitch is given as metric module (Mod 1, Mod 0.8) or diametral pitch (32P, 48P). They are different standards and are not interchangeable, even where the numbers look close. Bore is the pinion’s hole, listed separately from the motor shaft. How these numbers were settled

The 1/10 Nitro Tracker runs a KE15SP engine through a 2-speed automatic transmission with a radio-shifted reverse (QRC).

• Kyosho's Technical Data gives 'Forward (1st) 20.9:1 / (2nd) 13.9:1' and 'Reverse (1st) 24.1:1 / (2nd) 16.0:1'; second gear forward, 13.9:1, is shown here.
• The spare parts list names the 2-speed clutch bell as 11T-15T (NT025) and the spur set as 43T/39T (NT015).
• The pairing, 15T on 39T for second gear and 11T on 43T for first, is worked out rather than printed: both pairs add up to 54 teeth, and only that pairing matches the step between Kyosho's two forward ratios (20.9 / 13.9 = 1.50, and (43/11) / (39/15) = 1.50).
• That puts the ratio after the spur at 13.9 x 15 / 39 = 5.35.
• The tires are 'φ120×56mm'.
• Kyosho lists this Readyset as discontinued (sale date July 2019).
