Derived is worked out from gear tooth counts the maker publishes rather than printed as a ratio; the notes below say how. Not published means it exists but no source we could find prints it. The top speed is kinematic: an ideal no-load RPM with no slip and no loss under load, so a real car is slower.

Gearing parts

Tooth counts are the ones in the specifications above. Pitch is given as metric module (Mod 1, Mod 0.8) or diametral pitch (32P, 48P). They are different standards and are not interchangeable, even where the numbers look close. Bore is the pinion’s hole, listed separately from the motor shaft. How these numbers were settled

Electric 1/8 monster truck on the Mad Force Kruiser 2.0 VE chassis (2018).

• Kyosho's Technical Data gives 'Gear Ratio 8.68：1' and 'Tires（F & R） φ150×70mm'.
• The spare parts list names the 97044-16 pinion (16T/1.0M/φ5.0) and a 42T spur (TR41-42, now TR41-42B); the drive to the axles runs through a sprocket and chain and the MA050B bevel set, for which Kyosho gives no tooth counts.
• The ratio after the spur works out at 8.68 x 16 / 42 = 3.307.
• The product page names the TORX 8 brushless motor at 2000KV and the BRAINZ 8 ESC, which Kyosho rates for 2 to 4 cell LiPo; the truck takes two packs, 7.2V NiMH or 7.4V LiPo, one in each side box.
• Kyosho publishes no top speed; 2000KV on 4 cells works out to about 60 mph in theory with this ratio and tire.
• The maintenance manual (p. 5) fills the front and rear diffs with #3000 silicone oil.
