Background
The Fazer Mk2 FZ02L 1970 Dodge Charger Tuned pairs a finished replica body with the FZ02L electric chassis. The readyset includes its motor, radio equipment and assembled running gear, leaving the running battery, charger and transmitter batteries to the owner. The body dimensions and wheelbase belong to this named configuration, which matters when selecting replacement shells and wheels.

Optional setup parts accompany the car, but compatibility with other bodies requires the relevant chassis and wheelbase configuration.1 (opens in a new tab)
The tuned Charger uses the longer FZ02L road chassis to suit the American coupe's proportions. Its 274mm wheelbase is a body-fit distinction from shorter FZ02 Readysets. Check wheel offsets and body mounts alongside wheelbase before changing shells, and retain this kit's installed motor and tires as the starting point for gearing calculations. How to read these figures
- The listed front and rear rollouts match at equal axle-input RPM. The connection between axle inputs is not recorded, so its ability to accommodate a mismatch is unknown. These figures do not predict vehicle road speed.
- Stock is as the vehicle ships.
- Calculated is worked from the stock figures on this page rather than stored beside them, so the two cannot drift apart.
- Derived uses recorded dimensions or arithmetic. The row explains the inference. A nominal mating size is not a measured tolerance or a complete fitment guarantee.
- Not published means it exists but no source we could find prints it.

Upgrades and setup
The Charger Tuned pairs a 274mm touring chassis with a new clipless body. Release the rear catches, lift the rear of the shell and slide it forward when opening the car. Keep the body mounts and wiring clear, and use its own mounting layout when changing shells.[1] Exact Charger Tuned equipment (opens in a new tab)[2] Applicable touring manual (opens in a new tab)[3] Exact body setup and option sheet (opens in a new tab)
Start with the included oil shocks, bearings and brushed motor for paved running. Check free suspension movement and tire clearance before adjusting ride height, then change springs or damping for the surface and grip. A brushless conversion needs suitable electronics, a steel or velvet-coated pinion and temperature checks with the chosen gearing.[1] Exact Charger Tuned equipment (opens in a new tab)[2] Applicable touring manual (opens in a new tab)[4] Complete Fazer Mk2 replacement-part build (opens in a new tab)

The Charger’s hidden headlights can be operated from the third radio channel with both the ON-MS18 micro servo and FAB707-01SMC supercharger set. The optional LED units are separate from that mechanism. Route the added wiring so the clipless body can still be removed without pulling on connectors.[1] Exact Charger Tuned equipment (opens in a new tab)[2] Applicable touring manual (opens in a new tab)
Keep long center shafts and drive cups matched, and recheck alignment and steering clearance after changing arms or steering parts. The rear carbon shock stay needs separate M3x6 button screws. Shared clipless body mounts and selected options do not make this four-wheel-drive touring car a Fazer D2 drift chassis.[1] Exact Charger Tuned equipment (opens in a new tab)[3] Exact body setup and option sheet (opens in a new tab)[4] Complete Fazer Mk2 replacement-part build (opens in a new tab)[5] Yeah Racing Fazer Mk2 conversion parts (opens in a new tab)[6] PowerHobby Fazer steering assembly (opens in a new tab)

About these specs
Standard T04 G14L gearing is 32T pinion and 68T spur.
Read moreShow less
- Internal ratio is derived as 6.54 x 32 / 68 = 3.077647 from the maker's rounded total ratio.
- The original pinion is for the G14L motor; a brushless conversion requires the separately specified steel or velvet-coated pinion.
