Background
The 124019 Explorer Rally Car belongs to WLtoys' small electric off-road range. The supplied 550 brushed motor runs from the included 7.4V pack. An aluminum chassis and oil-filled dampers provide a conventional serviceable off-road layout, with numbered spares available through the Japanese distributor. Hitec lists 6 November 2021 as the introduction date for its Japanese package. The package includes the vehicle, transmitter, LiPo battery, USB charging lead and hand tool. Hitec publishes a model-specific spare-parts list alongside the vehicle, which is useful when replacing suspension, drivetrain or body components. Check the complete model identifier and the equipment already fitted before choosing spares, especially when working on an imported or previously modified car. How to read these figures
- The rollout difference needs both tire diameters and axle reductions. The connection between axle inputs is not recorded, so its ability to accommodate a mismatch is unknown. These figures do not predict vehicle road speed.
- Stock is as the vehicle ships.
- Calculated is worked from the stock figures on this page rather than stored beside them, so the two cannot drift apart.
- Single report uses one outside source. It is useful as a starting figure, with the source and calculation described in the note.
- Not published means it exists but no source we could find prints it.

Upgrades and setup
Inspect the 124019 on its own merits before applying every 144001 fix. In QuadifyRC's specific 124019, the shocks already reached full compression and the differentials had factory shims. Its setup guide concentrates on alignment and differential behavior rather than treating shock draining as mandatory. Check for a problem before dismantling a working assembly.[1] QuadifyRC 124019 budget setup and tuning (opens in a new tab)
Center the steering rack and install the battery before setting front toe and camber. The guide removes tight adjustable links to change their length without forcing the ball cups off their mounts. It also documents rotating the rear arm-mount inserts to reduce toe-in on that car. Record the original orientation so the change can be reversed if the handling no longer suits the surface.[1] QuadifyRC 124019 budget setup and tuning (opens in a new tab)

Differential grease was used to increase resistance when one wheel lost traction. That is the author's setup choice, not a factory fluid rating or proof of a sealed differential. Preserve the crown-gear orientation and check smooth movement before reassembly. Make one handling change at a time so you can distinguish its effect from alignment corrections.[1] QuadifyRC 124019 budget setup and tuning (opens in a new tab)
