Team Magic E5 HX RTR

The top speed is kinematic: an ideal no-load RPM with no slip and no loss under load, so a real car is slower.

How these numbers were settled

Team Magic's E5 series parts list marks a 9T M1.0 pinion (KF6602-9), the 46T spur (TM510108) and the 43T/11T bevel gears (TM510102) as stock.

• The centre differential is an option on this version, so the spur drives the centre shaft and the 43/11 bevel sets in the axles give 3.91 after the spur; that layout is read from the parts list, not from an exploded view.
• The total is worked out as 46/9 x 3.91 = 19.98.
• The tire is listed by Team Magic Europe as 5.1x3.25x2.75, a 5.1in (130mm) outer diameter.
• The motor is a 550 size 4400KV brushless (THOR 3660 in the parts list) and the 80A ESC is rated for 2-3S LiPo.
• Team Magic's 60 km/h on 2S and 85 km/h on 3S carry an asterisk and sit above what the stock gearing gives (about 45 km/h and 68 km/h at full charge), so they are not recorded as stock claims.
• The parts list dates from 2017; the current page repeats the motor, ESC and tire but not the gearing.
