Schumacher Cougar LD3S (Stock Spec)

Gearing parts

Tooth counts are the ones in the specifications above. Pitch is given as metric module (Mod 1, Mod 0.8) or diametral pitch (32P, 48P). They are different standards and are not interchangeable, even where the numbers look close. Bore is the pinion’s hole, listed separately from the motor shaft. How these numbers were settled

2WD race kit, Stock spec: the product page lists a slipper lockout assembly with an alloy layshaft and a 71T spur, in place of the Mod kit's 80T slipper.

• The LD3 manual covers both kits, carries the 71T lockout spur (U7671) in its spares list and prints the gear ratio as 2.53:1; its recommended gearing for 17.5T motors is 31/71, a 5.80 total.
• Motor, pinion, speed controller and tyres are not included.
