Stock is as the vehicle ships. Calculated is worked from the stock figures on this page rather than stored beside them, so the two cannot drift apart. Derived is worked out from gear tooth counts the maker publishes rather than printed as a ratio; the notes below say how. The top speed is kinematic: an ideal no-load RPM with no slip and no loss under load, so a real car is slower. The maker advertises 49 mph, which is their own claim on their own conditions.
How these numbers were settled
Rlaarlo’s spec table gives a 17T motor pinion, a 46T spur, an overall drive ratio of 9.7 and a 118mm tire on the RTR.
- The same table labels 2.71 as the internal drive ratio, but that is the spur over the pinion (46/17 = 2.71), not the gearing after the spur; the after-spur figure worked out from the printed total is 9.7 x 17 / 46 = 3.585.
- That is consistent with Rlaarlo’s 43T diff bevel gear (DSK-1004) running against a 12T diff pinion, though the diff pinion count is not published.
- The motor is a 4274 2050KV on a 180A ESC that Rlaarlo rates for 2S to 6S.
- On 6S the theoretical top speed is about 65 mph, and Rlaarlo’s 80 km/h claim (49 mph) sits at 76% of it; the claim does not name a pack.
- DSK08-RTR-B is the blue version of the same buggy.
