Specs

Rlaarlo's Storm Breaker SBK10 Metal RTR is a four-wheel-drive 1/10 buggy, sold ready to run with a 2852-3100KV brushless motor and a 45A brushless ESC with a cooling fan.

Its 65T spur feeds a differential stage of 3.09, so the final drive is 65 divided by the pinion, times 3.09. Rlaarlo prints the fitted pinion only as a range, so count the teeth on yours before trusting a speed figure. It rolls on 83 mm tires, measures 400 mm long on a 275 mm wheelbase and is rated for 3S.

How to read these figures
  • Stock is as the vehicle ships.
  • Calculated is worked from the stock figures on this page rather than stored beside them, so the two cannot drift apart.
  • Derived is worked out from gear tooth counts the maker publishes rather than printed as a ratio; the notes below say how.
  • Not published means it exists but no source we could find prints it.

How these numbers were settled

Rlaarlo's manual (PDF p. 16) prints the metal version's motor pinion only as a 16-19T range in English and in Chinese, and the product page lists a 19T motor gear in the box, so the pinion and final drive are left blank.

  • The English spur text reads 48-65T, while the Chinese text beside it and Rlaarlo's 65T spur part, which lists the SBK10, both give 65T.
  • The differential stage pairs an 11T gear with a 34T ring gear, which is 3.09:1 after the spur, worked out from the printed tooth counts.
  • The tires are 83mm in diameter, 32mm wide at the front and 39mm wide at the rear.
  • The motor is a 2852 3100KV on a 45A ESC that supports 2S to 3S, and the pack in the box is a 3S 2200mAh LiPo.
  • Rlaarlo prints 60 to 80 km/h in the manual and 50 to 80 km/h on the product page, which are ranges and not a single claim, so none is shown.
  • The drive is four-wheel drive through a central differential.
