Redcat Racing Volcano EPX Pro

Stock is as the vehicle ships. Calculated is worked from the stock figures on this page rather than stored beside them, so the two cannot drift apart. The top speed is kinematic: an ideal no-load RPM with no slip and no loss under load, so a real car is slower.

How these numbers were settled

The 3300KV brushless motor, the 60A waterproof ESC and the RER14486 SKU are Redcat's own copy.

• Redcat's Volcano EPX PRO manual, still hosted after the product page was delisted, settles the rest: the parts list (p.23) names a 21T pinion (11181) and the 64T steel spur (11184), and a 13T diff pinion (02030) against Redcat's 38T diff ring gear (02029), 38/13 = 2.92, so the total works out to 64/21 x 2.92 = 8.91.
• The included ESC's spec table (p.13) rates it for 2-3S LiPo, so the cell count is 3.
• The tire is Redcat part 20126, which the parts listing describes as standard on the Volcano EPX, EPX PRO and S30 at 4.80in / 122mm.
• The current manual names a newer tire part, RER14590, with no published diameter, so later cars may ship on a different tire.
