RC4WD C2X Class 2 Competition Truck RTR

Gearing parts

Tooth counts are the ones in the specifications above. Pitch is given as metric module (Mod 1, Mod 0.8) or diametral pitch (32P, 48P). They are different standards and are not interchangeable, even where the numbers look close. Bore is the pinion’s hole, listed separately from the motor shaft.

How these numbers were settled

The C2X runs lower axle gearing than the Trail Finder 2.

• RC4WD's specification as carried by RPP Hobby prints a 14/64 pinion and spur (4.57:1), the transmission at 1.78:1, the transfer case at 1.47:1 and axle gears of 38/13 = 2.92:1, for a printed final drive of 34.9:1.
• The ratio after the spur is 1.78 x 1.47 x 38/13 = 7.65, and 64/14 x 7.65 = 34.97 matches the printed total.
• The motor is a 35T brushed 540 crawler can, so there is no KV.
• The Outcry III ESC is rated '2-3S LiPo or 5-9 NiMH' in RC4WD's own ESC sheet; the truck ships with a 6-cell NiMH pack.
• The tires are Mickey Thompson 1.9 Baja MTZ P3 4.6 scale tires; no maker outer diameter was read, so the tire size is left blank.
