Kyosho KB10L 2021 Toyota Tacoma TRD Pro Readyset

Gearing parts

Tooth counts are the ones in the specifications above. Pitch is given as metric module (Mod 1, Mod 0.8) or diametral pitch (32P, 48P). They are different standards and are not interchangeable, even where the numbers look close. Bore is the pinion’s hole, listed separately from the motor shaft. How these numbers were settled

Kyosho's Technical Data gives 'Gear Ratio 10.41:1' and 'Tires (F & R) φ110 x 47mm'.

• The manual's primary gear ratio chart (p. 32) marks the 19T pinion on the 46T spur as standard at 2.42, and runs from 12T to 20T on 46T or 44T spurs.
• The parts list names KB030-19 'Sintered Pinion Gear 19T (M1.0/KB10)', KB031-46 'Spur Gear 46T (M1.0/KB10)', and a 10T drive bevel (KB032-10) with a 43T ring gear (KB033-43) in each axle.
• That puts the ratio after the spur at 43/10 = 4.3, and 2.42 x 4.3 = 10.41, matching Kyosho's figure.
• The KB10L chassis has a center diff (#10000 oil from the factory) and front and rear diffs with #5000.
• The motor is the TORX10L at 2850KV, and the manual's settings table for the BRAINZ 10 Plus ESC runs to 3 LiPo cells.
• Kyosho quotes 'about 75km/h', slightly above the roughly 71 km/h this gearing gives in theory on a fully charged 3S pack, so that figure is not shown here.
• The battery space is given as 143x47x30mm.
• The 34703T2 Electric Lime version is the same truck in another colour.
