Tooth counts are the ones in the specifications above. Pitch is given as metric module (Mod 1, Mod 0.8) or diametral pitch (32P, 48P). They are different standards and are not interchangeable, even where the numbers look close. Bore is the pinion’s hole, listed separately from the motor shaft. How these numbers were settled
The RTR page lists a 17T steel clutch bell on the Hyper 30 engine (H-3032T), and the manual gives 16T or 17T for the Hyper 30; Hobao sells the 17T bell as FR-24C.
- The center spur is 48T, and the ratio after the spur is the 43T crown gear against the 13T diff pinion, 3.31:1.
- The 9.34:1 total is worked out from those tooth counts.
- Hobao prints only a 3.3 inch tread figure for the tires, which matches the wheel rather than the tire, so the tire diameter is left blank.
- The engine-less roller sold as HB-VS2 has its own sheet.
