About Hobao

Known for

Its Hyper 7 buggy was raced to international success in the mid-2000s, when HoBao sponsored racers such as Robert Batlle, Josh Wheeler and Yannick Aigoin; the Hyper 8 and Hyper 9 that followed never quite matched it.1 Beyond buggies it has built a 2WD buggy, touring cars, one of the original 4WD short course trucks and a 1/8 sprint car.1

Product portfolio

The range runs from 1/10 to 1/7 scale. The Hyper VS2 1/8 buggy comes in nitro and electric versions, with an electric truggy beside it, and the Hyper MTX (1/8) and Hyper MT Plus II (1/7) are its monster trucks. In 1/10 scale sit the Hyper TT2.0 Pro truck, the Hyper SC 2.0 short course truck and the EX10 2WD drag car. On-road, the Hyper GT2 is a 1/8 nitro GT and the Extreme VT2 a 1/7 electric car. Most models come almost ready to run (ARR, without electronics), with brushless ready-to-run versions of the main electric models.
