Tooth counts are the ones in the specifications above. Pitch is given as metric module (Mod 1, Mod 0.8) or diametral pitch (32P, 48P). They are different standards and are not interchangeable, even where the numbers look close. Bore is the pinion’s hole, listed separately from the motor shaft. Linked part numbers go to the maker's or official distributor's page for that part.
How these numbers were settled
The earlier brushed Granite 4X4 with a MEGA 550 12T motor, sold with battery and charger.
- Brushed, so there is no KV.
- The ESC is the Arrma MEGA brushed ESC, rated for 2S LiPo; the truck shipped with a 7-cell NiMH pack.
- Horizon prints Pinion 14T, Spur Gear 91T (48 pitch), Internal Gear Ratio 2.85 and Final Drive 18.5, and 91/14 x 2.85 = 18.53.
- The standard-parts list confirms the 14T and 91T gears and the 37T diff sets with 13T input gears.
- Horizon names the tread as dBoots Fortress MT; that tire's own page (ARA550086) prints an overall diameter of 5.0 in (128mm).
- Arrma's 30+ mph figure assumes optional gearing, so no speed check applies.
