Gearing parts

Tooth counts are the ones in the specifications above. Pitch is given as metric module (Mod 1, Mod 0.8) or diametral pitch (32P, 48P). They are different standards and are not interchangeable, even where the numbers look close. Bore is the pinion’s hole, listed separately from the motor shaft.

How these numbers were settled

Nitro race kit: the manual's equipment list names the .21 engine and the tires and wheels as items to buy, so the tire size is left blank.

• The manual prints the kit gearing as (48 : 14) x 3.54 = 12.14, with the 14T clutch bell (#358414) and the 48T centre diff spur (#355058) marked as fitted.
• XRAY's features page independently names the 48T spur, the standard 14T clutch bell and the 46T crown against a 13T pinion in both diffs, and 46/13 = 3.54 matches the printed constant.
