MST RMX 2.5 RTR (Brushed)

Gearing parts

Tooth counts are the ones in the specifications above. Pitch is given as metric module (Mod 1, Mod 0.8) or diametral pitch (32P, 48P). They are different standards and are not interchangeable, even where the numbers look close. Bore is the pinion’s hole, listed separately from the motor shaft. Linked part numbers go to the maker's or official distributor's page for that part.

How these numbers were settled

Rear-wheel drive drift car with a 26-turn 540 brushed motor (M54-26T) and the XB60 brushed ESC, which MST's ESC manual rates for 2-3S LiPo or 5-9 NiMH cells.

• The RTR manual, shared with the brushless version, shades 22T on its 80T spur chart (p. 7) at 10.91: 80 over 22 times the ratio after the spur, 60T over 20T, 3.00.
• Its parts pages list one 22T 48P pinion (148022P) and the 80T 48P spur (230068), and the setup sheet (p. 15) writes 80 over 22 times 3 as 10.91.
• The manual draws that pinion on the brushless motor and shows the brushed motor and ESC only as an inset, so the brushed pinion rests on the shared parts list.
• Brushed motors have no KV rating.
• AMain describes the pinion as fitting a 3.17mm motor shaft.
• The manual shows MST CS-R tires, whose outer diameter is not published.
• The manual recommends a shorty pack within 96 x 47 x 25.5mm, and the product page names a T-style plug.
• Body and colour versions share this chassis and electronics.
