Tooth counts are the ones in the specifications above. Pitch is given as metric module (Mod 1, Mod 0.8) or diametral pitch (32P, 48P). They are different standards and are not interchangeable, even where the numbers look close. Bore is the pinion’s hole, listed separately from the motor shaft (5 mm on the stock motor). Linked part numbers go to the maker's or official distributor's page for that part.
How these numbers were settled
The quick start guide's parts list names a 17T Mod 1 pinion (5.0mm shaft) and a 46T Mod 1 spur on a centre differential.
- The quick start guide's parts list names the 40T/13T differential bevel gear set and no other reduction after the spur, so the after-spur ratio is worked out as 40/13 = 3.08; the train is read from the parts list, as no gearing diagram is printed.
- The total is 46/17 x 3.08 = 8.33.
- The kit's standard parts list names the Tredz Vortex Belted tire, whose part page gives 95x42mm.
- The kit page lists a 3674 2250KV brushless motor and a 120A ESC and calls the car '4S LiPo Capable'.
- The kit page calls it a 1/8 4WD brushless muscle car.
