Background
The original Micro-T brought Losi's stadium-truck format down to 1/36 scale. LOSB0230 was a complete small-space package with a brushed motor, a 4.8V NiMH battery, portable charger and 27MHz AM radio. Independent suspension, a gear differential and an adjustable slipper gave it familiar model-car adjustments in a truck only about 114 mm long. Factory product archive (opens in a new tab)

Its suspension uses coil springs and friction dampers. The factory guide concentrates on steering rate, slipper adjustment, gear mesh and differential maintenance, making it a useful reference when returning an older truck to running condition. Match the transmitter and receiver crystals as a pair; this radio predates the bind-button systems used on current Losi micros. Operations guide (opens in a new tab)
This truck is distinct from the later 1/28 Micro-T. Parts references should follow LOSB0230, particularly the combined receiver/ESC and small steering servo. The original factory parts sheet also separates optional wheel bearings from the transmission bearings supplied, so an older truck should be checked before ordering a full bearing conversion. How to read these figures
- Stock is as the vehicle ships.
- Calculated is worked from the stock figures on this page rather than stored beside them, so the two cannot drift apart.
- Not published means it exists but no source we could find prints it.

Build and setup
Factory setup guide for this configuration.
Keep the original 1/36 Micro-T's gearing modest unless the track actually needs more top speed. A larger pinion trades acceleration and runtime for speed, while a smaller pinion suits a tighter layout. When refitting the motor, leave a little movement between pinion and spur, tighten both motor screws and replace the cover. This is the original truck's setup, not the later 1/28 Micro-T.[1] Micro-T Original 1/36 factory setup and maintenance instructions (opens in a new tab)
Use steering rate to calm a truck that turns too sharply or spins out; steering trim has the separate job of making it track straight. Keep the slipper working rather than tightening it solid, because it cushions sudden loads and can reduce wheelspin. Brush dust from the suspension and driveline before adding power. The original manual warns that LiPo packs and stronger motors can overload this small drivetrain.[1] Micro-T Original 1/36 factory setup and maintenance instructions (opens in a new tab)
