ECX Temper 1/24 4WD

Gearing parts

Tooth counts are the ones in the specifications above. Pitch is given as metric module (Mod 1, Mod 0.8) or diametral pitch (32P, 48P). They are different standards and are not interchangeable, even where the numbers look close. Bore is the pinion’s hole, listed separately from the motor shaft. Linked part numbers go to the maker's or official distributor's page for that part.

How these numbers were settled

Horizon's spec table prints a 10T pinion, a 54T spur and a 1.81in (46mm) outer tire diameter, but the manual's parts list and the spur's own part page both name ECX202018, 'Spur Gear, 57T: 1/24 4WD Temper', so 57T is used.

• The same table prints the internal gear ratio as '1:133.15', which cannot be an after-spur figure on these gears (it would make the total about 719:1) and may be the complete ratio; with no document saying which, both ratios are left blank.
• It runs a 4.8V NiMH pack and a micro brushed motor, which has no KV rating; the cell count is left blank.
