Stock is as the vehicle ships. Calculated is worked from the stock figures on this page rather than stored beside them, so the two cannot drift apart. The top speed is kinematic: an ideal no-load RPM with no slip and no loss under load, so a real car is slower. The maker advertises 30 mph, which is their own claim on their own conditions.

Tooth counts are the ones in the specifications above. Pitch is given as metric module (Mod 1, Mod 0.8) or diametral pitch (32P, 48P). They are different standards and are not interchangeable, even where the numbers look close. Bore is the pinion’s hole, listed separately from the motor shaft (3.175 mm on the stock motor). How these numbers were settled
Horizon's spec table prints a 24T pinion, an 87T spur, a 2.6 internal gear ratio and a 5.3in (134.6mm) outer tire diameter; the total is worked out as 87/24 x 2.6 = 9.43.
- The motor is a Dynamite 540 3300Kv 6-pole brushless.
- The manual's speed control table rates the ESC for 2S LiPo or 5 to 7 cell NiMH, so 2S is stored as the ceiling even though the product page says the truck is 'capable of 40MPH + with a 3S Lipo battery'.
- The page claims 30 mph out of the box on the included 2S pack, about 73% of the theoretical speed on this gearing, a normal margin.
