What it stands for

Tekno RC says its "mission is simple: Design and produce parts that will make a performance difference," with three guiding principles: "Function, Durability, and Weight."1 It describes its kits as carrying on "Tekno RC's tradition of delivering enhanced performance, predictability, and durability," and says its designers use "feedback from professional drivers and loyal customers."2,3

Known for

It got its start making upgrade parts before building its own 1/8 race kits, and the MT410 of 2016 was its first vehicle aimed at bashers.6 Its 1/8 lines run through many revisions: the EB48 2.2 is the eighth version of a buggy first seen in 2012, and the NB48 2.2 the seventh revision of its nitro buggy.2,10

Product portfolio

Every model is a 4WD kit, built by the owner with separate electronics. In 1/8 scale the 2.x family covers the EB48 electric and NB48 nitro buggies, the ET48 electric and NT48 nitro truggies, and the MT48 monster truck. In 1/10 scale come the EB410 buggy, the ET410 truggy, the SCT410 2.0 and lightweight SCT410SL short course trucks and the MT410 monster truck. The SCT410 2.0 is derived from the 1/8 2.1 race vehicles and takes parts from the EB/NB/ET/NT48 2.X line.9

Racing record

Tekno RC kits won the ROAR 1/8 Electric Off-Road Nationals in 2023 with the EB48 and the ROAR 1/8 Fuel Off-Road Nationals in 2024 with the NB48 2.2.2,10 At those 2024 nitro nationals Ryan Maifield took both the buggy and truggy titles.7 Daniel Pariente became 2025 KMRCA Korean 1/8 GP Buggy National Champion as a Tekno driver.11
