How these numbers were settled

Tekno publishes no gear ratio for any of its kits, so the after-spur figure here is the front and rear ring and pinion read off the manual's own spare-parts list.

• The kit ships without tires, without a motor and without a battery, all three stated in the manual's 'additional equipment and parts needed' list, so those are facts about the product rather than gaps. 48-pitch 81T spur, 40T ring against a 16T diff pinion.
• The manual's two pitch options cross-check the constant: 48P 18/81 gives 11.25 and 32P 12/53 gives 11.04, 1.9% apart on the same 2.5.
