Awesomatix says it "represents the leading design language of the RC industry," with products that "feature unique solutions to achieve the highest performance possible within the rule guide lines of each racing class."5 On the A800R it keeps damper and spring apart: "Changing the damper rate doesn't affect spring rate anymore."6

Known for

Awesomatix had been an established electric on-road maker for over a decade before it won a world title, with Max Mächler in 1/12 Spec in 2023.3 Its touring cars are the design of Oleg Babich, and multiple world champion Marc Rheinard drove them for six years from the end of 2019.2 A year after that first title, Awesomatix drivers finished first and second in the ISTC Spec touring car world final.4

Product portfolio

Awesomatix makes electric on-road race kits. Its 1/10 touring cars start from the A800R, with a super short chassis to cut chassis rub.6 The A800RR builds on it, and the A800FXR carries the concept to front-wheel drive with a two-piece aluminum and carbon chassis.7,8 The A12WC and A12X round out the range.5

Racing record

Awesomatix's first world title came in 2023, when team manager Max Mächler won the IFMAR 1/12 Spec class in Florida.3 In 2024 Simon Lauter won the ISTC Spec touring car world title in California, with Mächler second for an Awesomatix one-two.4 With Marc Rheinard the team won the 2024 Electric Touring Car European title and the 2025 1/12 European title.2
