How these numbers were settled
Axial's printed 6.31 internal ratio is the transmission alone and excludes the Currie F9 portal reduction, so the catalog-sense internal is back-solved from the verified 45.37 total.
- Tire diameter is the 4.85 in outside diameter Horizon publishes for the fitted Pro-Line Baja Pro X (PRO1021303), not a figure Axial states.
- Brushed 35T 540, so no KV.
- Currie F9 portal axles.
- Portal gear set AXI232007 is 23T/12T = 1.91667:1.
- Axial's marketing 7.39:1 axle figure does not match its own tooth counts (30/8 x 23/12 = 7.1875); 7.1875 is the figure that reproduces the published final drives.
